Looking for offbeat places suggestions - around Palolem/Agonda (or across South Goa).

Hello all,

I am visiting Goa with my partner during 12-15th September and we will be staying near Palolem beach.

This is mainly a relaxing trip to slow down and enjoy a few days away from work. But I'd also like to explore a little rather than spending the entire trip around beach and hotel.

I'm interested in Food, Architecture, Culture, History and Literature. So I was wondering if there are any interesting, lesser known or less touristy places around Palolem or elsewhere in South Goa that anyone would recommend. It could be anything really, just a place you'd think has a nice story or a character.
