What would you think of this guy if you saw this at the post office?
Imagine you're at a post office and a guy walks in with a friend. At first, he seems completely calm.
He casually asks the employee how the system works and whether he needs to take a number. His friend takes a number and sits down to wait.
But not even half a minute later, the guy says, somewhat loudly—but not loud enough to cause a scene:
«“It’s just a question. I don’t need a number.”»
Then, sounding annoyed, he adds:
«“Why would I care about taking a number? This whole number thing…”»
Instead of sitting down with his friend, he stays standing near the employees, in front of the customers sitting in the waiting area.
When he gets a chance, he asks:
«“Excuse me, sir. I just wanted to ask something. Did a delivery person happen to drop something off here today under the name ____?”»
The employee explains that he needs to take a number and wait in line.
The guy immediately responds:
«“Nah, I’m not waiting in line. I’m leaving.”»
He calls his friend:
«“Let’s go.”»
And they quickly leave the post office.
What would you think if you witnessed this?
Would you just think he was extremely impatient, or would the way he suddenly became irritated about waiting and then completely gave up make his behavior seem strange?
