36M nerdy metal headooking to make genuine friends!

Hey all. I moved from my home town 9 years ago and somehow still haven't managed to build a real friend group where I am now in the north east. Making friends in your 30s is damn hard. So I figured it's finally time to do something about it instead of accepting my fate as a house hermit hermit.

A little bit about me. I'm a bit sci-fi nerd. Think The Expanse, Foundation, that whole shazam. I've also love getting tattoos (bloody expensive interest that jeez!) and I'm a big metal guy, and music in general too. Always down to talk, bands, or just yap about a new album with someone.

I'm not looking for surface level "hey how's it going" texts that fizzle out after a week. I want something genuine. I've tried this before and it always seems to go that way!! I want people I can actually build a real friendship with over time. That could eventually mean grabbing a drink, going to a show, nerding out about books and shows, whatever works.

I don't care where you are from too all good by me.
