26 OB - Fragile outside mirrors

Well 500 miles on the odometer and I guess my Premium is “broken in”. Literally. Construction season in Nebraska, I’m fiddling with CarPlay and I drifted a little in my lane and rage driver’s side mirror clipped a construction pylon. No marks on the car, but the mirror shattered in the top left edge and dropped out of the housing. It’s a premium so nothing but the turn signal / warning light and defrost. The lights still work. Looks like I can just pop in a new mirror hopefully for less than $200. I guess I’m really shocked at how easily it broke. Bummer.
