I think Zoloft may have taken away my ability to fixate on things?
Hey y’all! I’ve been on Zoloft for two years now for social anxiety and generally, it’s been wonderful. It makes my life significantly easier but I’ve noticed one particular side effect that has been bothering me that hasn’t gone away.
I don’t experience hyperfixations anymore and I generally don’t have interest in any media. I have ADHD as well, so I take my medication with Vyvanse and I find that I only do things my brain feels is productive. Playing new games, watching new TV shows, or even doing those with my friends with things I already know I like feels like dragging myself through mud.
Is this something that happens to anything else? My life feels so much more hollow and boring because of it, especially since I’ve graduated from college and no longer have classes taking up my time. There‘s so many things I want to get into, things I know I would love, that I can’t pull myself into doing. It’s like depressive lack of interest but that’s my only symptom.
I’ve only had one fixation so far since getting on Zoloft and it was only because I upped my dose and had the zoomies from it. It died off and I went back to this. It sucks!!!!!!
