#cpsupport Headset Mic Not Working for Game Chat

This is my first gaming pc in 20 years. I'm finding that my headsets are not working for in-game voice chat.

I started with a SteelSeries headset I use on my Xbox, ps5, and laptop with no issue. It's a 35mm jack. No mic is detected in windows settings.

I bought a Logitech headset that has a 35mm to USB adapter. The mic is detected in Windows, and the voice test works. App permissions to the game are on. The in-game chat does not work, but I can use discord just fine.

I checked the in game audio settings, the headset mic is selected for input, and push to talk is off. I tried multiple USBs on the PC. At one point they could hear me but it sounded robotic when I plugged into a USB in the back. I moved back to a plug on the top, and no voice again.

I could really use some help here.
