How to know if a guy likes you back?

So basically I’ve had this crush on this guy for about 4 months and we’ve been friends for about this year but I’ve known him my whole life just never got close till this year. But I can’t tell if he’s interested in me and I feel like I make it obvious to him. He treats me really nicely he will drive me home after school no matter if he’s dropping off other people or just me. He does just kind gestures like I burned my finger at a party and he straight away got me ice with out me asking. He also does tease me just a little bit not enough where it’s mean. He also will start the conversation most of the time with me. And the other day I saw him while I was on a run and he was doing sports training and he run up to me to get my attention but I didn’t hear him cause I had my head phones on. I also just feel the tension a lot whenever I’m with him. His friend which is also my friend asked me the other day if thought he was hot but I just played it off saying no that’s weird. which I would assume that he would have told him that. But i really can’t tell if he is interested in me or not.
