Don’t visit Brass Eye!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to pop in and share my experience at Brass Eye this evening with all of you. Now, for the record, my roommate and I decided to go for a night out and we NEVER EVER miss on restaurants. It’s actually sort of our thing. We did our research before hand and while the reviews are generally very positive, we did take note of the bad ones that continues to pop up. Glad we did!

We had a reservation for just the two of us at 7pm tonight. We showed up at about 7:10, which is our bad for being late, but we arrived and they acknowledged the reservation and sat us outside. We proceeded to watch the servers walk past and get water for everyone else, close out tables next to ours and generally just ignore us. Me and this guy, the server, made eye contact two or three different times, still nothing. Finally it was 7:45 and we had waited well over 30 minutes, enjoying each-other’s company but also getting hungry. The last straw was a table of 6-8 being sat next to us and MULTIPLE servers bringing them water before they were even sat. We left lmao.

I worked in a restaurant on Lane for 3 years and while it wasn’t fine dining, we took it seriously to greet customers and at LEAST let them know we’re running behind and we will get to them. It baffles me this place has been here a while, has amazing reviews, and it was shit. $26 for a smash burger is nuts btw. Anyways we left and went to Cobra and had an excellent meal and excellent drinks, got Handel’s and tonight ended up great. Just wanted to let you all know not to waste your time with this place.
