My cat escaped into the dark and he was my emotional support

My mom wasn’t looking when letting my dog out ~3 hours ago and he ran out the door.

We both had no idea until we both realized neither of us had him in our rooms and he wasn’t anywhere else in the house.

He never ever goes out, he did once and came back at like 1am, but it’s 10pm now and I just need him home right away.

He helped keep me regulated and we were so so close. I’m so so scared for him because my neighbourhood is not safe (people hurt animals for fun, also dangerous animals lurking)

He’s old and frail and gets confused and I just don’t know what I’d do because I barely said a proper goodbye the last time we saw each other

I hope to god he comes back but I need him here now.

I’m sorry for posting this in the sub but I’m havifn a meltdown and a panic attack over this and I don’t know what else to do.
