Now, for those who played Catherine please bite your lip for this isn’t an issue of media literacy. I’m aware the cast represents Order, Freedom, and Acceptance but for the sake of argument let’s pretend we can’t comprehend the plot and saw the series as a dating sim. (As that’s how the director seems to have seen the leftover path as. Just another romance)

With that out of the way this post is about the crappy argument or excuse we got from the persona 4 revival lead producer, Kazuhisa Wada stating "We were thinking if we did Yosuke, we kinda have to add all the other male characters as well. And if we did that, like that's a lot of work. I don't know if we could handle that.” Unfortunately this arguement feels a lot like a straw man when it comes down to both the community and Atlus’s history.

As far as I’m aware unless someone was way over head, the communities highest expectations were Yosuke and no other gay romance other than what was scrapped. And to further add to the issue is the multiple queer characters like the alleged characters in persona 2 (haven’t played it, someone else can attest) and the new path of Qatherine in full body. Following Wada’s logic it could be said that your whole friend group should’ve had alternate paths for everyone in your bar party

The point I’m trying to get across is if everyone was romanceable it would completely take away from why Yosuke was supposed to have a story that path
