The name Gertrude has long been shunned — what do you think of its German form, Gertraud?

Pronounced Ger-trowd. I know a Gertraud and always loved her name. She’s Austrian. And she’s not as old as you might think. Gertrud is another German variation (it would be pronounced differently with the e on the end).
