going off meds long enough for surgery?

hi. i'm scheduled to have a breast reduction in january but have to be at a certain weight to receive it. ive gained a little more than ten pounds since my consultation so i'm *at* the limit now. i can't afford anymore anti-psychotic weight gain, and i'm already cutting calories (modestly) and hitting the gym 5 days a week, sometimes twice a day.

ive had two episodes of psychosis in 4 years, last one being a bit over a year ago. I have no positive symptoms/am in remission.

if it were you, would you go off the meds til after the surgery was done?
