How to mute the "Transfer Science" sound?

I can't stand the super long super loud high-pitched "sound effect" (if this abomination can even be called that). It literally hurts my ears, it's like a dial-up sound from hell. Is there a way to disable it? I can't find a way to mute it in stock settings without muting all vessel sounds, which I don't want. Mods allowed.
