r/RealOrBootleg is a community for figure enthusiasts to identify, authenticate, and discuss anime figures. Whether you found a figure at a thrift store, bought it secondhand, or are considering a purchase and want a second opinion, feel free to ask!

📸 How to get the best answers!
When asking whether something is real or bootleg, the more photos, the better! Try to include:
- The front, back, and sides of the figure
- The bottom of the figure/base
- Box and packaging
- Manufacturer logos
- Copyright markings
- Any suspicious details, defects, or differences you noticed
- Photos of the listing if you haven’t purchased it yet

Include the manufacturer, character, and figure name if you know them.

💥 Don’t answer vaguely!
If you know a figure is a bootleg, explain why, or even show some comparison photos! Myfigurecollection is a great resource to compare bootleg vs real figures.

🤝 Be respectful!
Everyone starts somewhere. You don’t need to be an expert collector to post or help. If someone isn’t sure whether their figure is authentic, help them learn rather than making fun of them.
