Should I finish FF6 before FF7

so like, I was playing thru FF6, but I got a little burnt out. I went a bit over a week without playing it. Now I wanna play FF7, I'm really interested in the story, but I feel bad for not finishing 6. I'm sure I'll finish 6 one day, I just don't really have the energy for it.

im at the part im 6 right after a spoilery thing happens to Leo. (u know what I mean)

should I just finish 6 or not? I feel like i experienced all the good stuff (opera, ghost train, airship, the awesome beginning)
