Alcohol withdraw

So im coming off a month and half bender im trying to get sober again the first time I had 10 years of drinking under my belt so had not choice but to check into detox clinic without the meds that gave probly would have ceased out or died had horabble hallucinations this time has only been a little while and got good job was wandering i could drink one ipa tall boy 11% with 1mg of klonapin to help a day or 2 to help with the severe withdraws so I can still work and eventually cold turkey it will it work or is the mix of kpins and beer bad news
