Wealth management to Analyst

Career Progression

Realistically what is the probability of me pivoting from my wealth management / financial advisor job to something more analytical? Nothing like investment banking or private equity. Am thinking entry policy analyst, costing, fp&a or data analysis

Some background info:

Graduated from non target with okay gpa with an econ degree and minor in management

Had two summer internships in costing and monetary policy but nothing crazy.

Fast forward, I now have ~4 yoe working as advisor. As the company I work for is small (and cheap) I find myself sometimes building decks, KPI dashboards, presenting to our board, building Excel templates and models and more. I guess Im trying to say that I dont just try and accumulate as much assets as an advisor and I have some “analytical” responsibilities.

I think I’m over working in wm. I’m tired of sales, people complaining about their financial plans when things doesn’t end up the way they want. I get paid a decent amount for my yoe around 92k but would like to pivot to something else.

Advice on what I can work on to pivot would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
