Going to first IT event - how do I be the most helpful person to my stakeholder?
Hi,
I'm not a very technical person (I know the product pretty well, but I'm not a dev), and I'm heading to my first conference!!
It's a dev-heavy conference with my colleague who is a VP (he isn't my boss just FYI). I want to leave a good impression on him so I get invited to more events. How can I be the most helpful person in the room and how can I leave the event and show my bosses (who won't be there) after that my presence was valuable (taking notes at talks?)
I'm nervous because it's just us two and I guess it'd be great if I got leads? For that, I think I need to study up on my company though. I'm thinking of printing out a bunch of technical fast facts and sharing if someone asks me a question that I don't know - is that super lame?
