BJP is making me drift away from Hinduism

To put in short : I was pretty religious at one point in my life but since BJP has come to power with their hate politics, fear mongering and just an hostile attitude in general, I’ve started to drift away from the religion I love. I’m guessing my hate for the BJP has created a bias that has permanently scarred my relationship with God. How do I deal with this and how do I reconnect with God once again. I just want your genuine advice and not a lesson on why every decision of Modi ji is a masterstroke.
