Questions about 68S

Hi, I recently signed up for AD 68S and I have questions for those who are or have been 68S.

1. What’s your job like? Do you do environmental health and safety or industrial hygiene work more? Do you get to do hands-on work more often than writing reports?

Also, how’s

1. the QOL as a 68S?
2. Do you get to go on TDY, rotations, or deployments often? How long is the typical duration?
3. I heard 68S doesn’t have a lot of duty stations unlike other medical MOSs. What kind of duty stations (CONUS and OCONUS) are available, or where have you been so far?

I chose this MOS to become an EHS manager once I get out, and I plan to get my master’s in Occupational Health while I’m in (long story short, I’m not a US citizen so I couldn’t apply for OCS). Any extra information or advice on this MOS would be greatly appreciated! TYIA!
