Getting fired after winning the superbowl and getting forced to retire

Been playing the cardinals in madden 27 Franchise mode. Around year 4 I won the Super Bowl and then the next year got a record of 13-4 and made it back to the nfc championship before losing it. Right after that game I see job offers in my weekly tasks. At the time I was still in the team and had an approval rate of 98 so I refused them thinking it was only a new feature where you can see if there's any teams offering better salary or something. After advancing to the next week I see that I am fired from my team, and as I waiting and waiting for offers I soon understood since I refused the offers earlier I was not gonna get any new offers. Angry that I was loosing all my progress on the cardinals, I chose to retire my coach and create a new one and assign him to the cardinals. It sucks that I had to loose all my coach stats and my level for getting fired for what seems like no reason. Has this happened to anybody else? Or can anyone explain it?
