Big Ikebukuro events end of October 2026

2 big Ikebukuro events coming up at end of October 2026. If you are in Tokyo, highly recommend checking then out.

The first is called Ikebukuro Special Market. It's hard for me to explain how awesome this is. It's basically a 3 day takeover of all the sidewalks out the east side of Ikebukuro Station in all directions about a km deep. Tons of little shops for trinkets, food, alcohol, clothing, everything. Little businesses from all around Tokyo participate.

This happens October 30, 31, and Nov 1. Some stuff opens around 9am, but recommend waiting till 11 to have everything open. Stuff will start closing up around 4 each day as well.

The 2nd of called Toshima Street Fes. It's basically a big party centered around the World Stage right by the Tokyo Metropolitan Theater.

Lots of dance competitions, art, djs, etc...
