One underrated example comes directly from the God of War II novel, during Zeus’ confrontation with Kratos.
After the Sisters of Fate are killed, Zeus realizes Kratos has become a genuine threat. He becomes enraged, and the narration describes his reaction:
“Zeus rocked back, face skyward as he vented his ire with a roar that shook the foundations of the world.”

This is important for several reasons.
First, this isn’t the Greek myth. It’s the God of War continuity. The feat is occurring during the same general sequence of events as God of War II, with Zeus confronting Kratos after the Sisters of Fate have been killed. So dismissing it as something that “only happens in mythology” doesn’t work.
Second, Zeus isn’t performing some named universe destroying technique.
He isn’t charging an attack called “Universe Shake” or deliberately attempting to destroy creation. He’s simply venting his anger with a roar, and the narration tells us that the roar shook the foundations of the world.
That makes the feat particularly interesting because the magnitude isn’t coming from an exaggerated attack name. It’s coming from the scale of what Zeus’ power is affecting incidentally.

And now we get to the most important part: What does “world” mean in God of War?

You can’t automatically translate “world” into “planet Earth” when the Greek cosmology repeatedly uses terms like world, heavens, universe, and cosmos in a much broader cosmological sense.
The original God of War itself describes Zeus and the Olympians as having:
“wrested control of the universe from the Titans”

That’s not describing Zeus conquering one planet. The broader Greek material then gives us the cosmological context for what this “universe” actually contains. The Primordials are responsible for the creation of the Greek cosmos, with Uranus explicitly associated with the heavens. The Ascension material depicts the Primordial conflict alongside the formation of the cosmic environment, while supplementary material describes Uranus as the father/creator of the universe.

The comics reinforce this further. Perses describes the world as the birthright of those born to Chaos, calling Chaos the “father of the universe” and referring to everything their father created. So when the novel says Zeus’ roar shook the foundations of the world, we aren’t dealing with a random fantasy “world” that we have to assume means a planet. We’re dealing with a setting that explicitly establishes a cosmic universe and multiple realms within that broader structure.

And there are even additional statements establishing that the Greek world contains separate realms and dimensions, including domains existing outside the mortal world and Olympus. The Underworld is also repeatedly described as infinite/immeasurable in the Greek material. That matters because the phrase “foundations of the world” has to be interpreted within the cosmology that God of War itself establishes.

And this isn’t even an isolated showing
That’s what makes the feat valuable for scaling. The Greek saga already gives us multiple independent pieces of evidence for a cosmic hierarchy:
The Primordials create/establish the universe.

Uranus is associated with the heavens and the creation of the cosmos.

The Titans overthrow and scale to the Primordials.

The Olympians overthrow the Titans and inherit control of the universe.

Zeus and the Olympians are explicitly said to have wrested control of the universe from the Titans. The Greek cosmology contains multiple distinct realms and dimensions.

The World Pillar is tied to the stability of creation, with its destruction threatening the entirety of creation. Zeus can produce a roar powerful enough to shake the foundations of the world.

So this isn’t “one vague sentence = Universal Zeus.”
It’s another piece of evidence that fits into an already established cosmological framework.
And there’s another detail people overlook. Zeus did this with a roar. He wasn’t using the Blade of Olympus. He wasn’t launching a charged lightning attack. He wasn’t performing some ritual. He was furious and roared. That doesn’t mean Zeus can necessarily destroy the entire universe with a scream. That’s not the argument. The feat establishes that Zeus’ raw power can produce a cosmological-scale effect, and it is consistent with the broader scaling of the Olympians to the primordial/cosmic forces of the Greek setting.

What are the “foundations of the world” in the God of War cosmology?
If someone wants to argue that “world” here specifically means nothing more than a planet, they actually need to establish that interpretation.
They can’t just assume it.
Especially when the same franchise explicitly uses “universe” when describing the domain Zeus and the Olympians gained control over, while its cosmology contains multiple realms and a Primordial created cosmic structure. So no, this isn’t a mythology feat being smuggled into God of War.
It’s a God of War II novel feat, performed by Zeus, in which his roar is explicitly stated to shake the foundations of the world.
And when you place that statement alongside the established Greek cosmology, it becomes another piece of consistency for Universal+ God of War scaling, rather than some isolated outlier that exists in a vacuum.

Zeus shows us another universal feat to add consistency to GOW scaling
