Ferritin of 5

Hi guys I've been dealing with low ferritin since like 2022 that I know of. Never took care of it because doctors said my labs looked fine and I never looked into it more. Because of my Hashimotos I figured that caused all my symptoms. Well now im sure the lows have caught up. Im dealing with so much fatigue, and just feeling miserable. I have an appointment Wednesday and letting my pcp know I want an infusion . We tried pills and in 6 weeks only went up a point. Im also going to request a celiac panel and gastro referral (ive always had tummy problems but never thought too much about it lol) . I know I should do a hematologist too but I dont want to go to them and they dont do anything or just advice on an iron infusion I'llget at my primary. My labs look good except for my ferritin. What did your hematologist test or help with ? Its a 2 hr drive for specialists here and my insurance sucks.
