40 yo FTM with stroller questions!

Recommendation

Lifestyle: I live in the suburbs, work part-time outside the home, and drive a mid-size SUV (Hyundai Santa Fe). Husband works full-time in office and drives a sedan. We usually take the Santa Fe for road trips, weekend errands, etc. I’m rarely in the sedan. I’m hoping to bring Baby with me to my part-time job (approved by boss) and using a baby wearing device like the Ergobaby Embrace for about 2 hours a day.

For those reasons, I think I have the car seat narrowed down to the Chicco Fit360 ClearTex Rotating Convertible car seat. I think this will work best for us because the rotating seat will allow us to strap Baby in and remove her easily to transfer to the baby wearing device. We’ll be in and out of the car a lot during the day for work, but I’m not sure I can tolerate multiple transfers of the car seat to a stroller since I’m probably looking at a scheduled C-section due to pregnancy risk factors.

We do have 2 dogs and like to take them on longer walks (sidewalks and paved pathways) or hikes (easy, wide trails) on the weekends. So for a stroller, I’d like something that can tolerate some more rugged paths, possibly has a bassinet for the early infant period, and then can convert to a toddler seat later. It would be great if the stroller was easy to fold and fit in the back of the Santa Fe so that we could use it when taking weekend trips, but not so big that it takes up tons of room in stores and restaurants. We don’t fly a ton, maybe very other year, so we can cross that travel stroller bridge when we get to it.

Also, my budget is < $500 so luxury stroller and travel systems are out.

I’m considering the Mompush Wiz 2-in-1 or the Joie Baby Ginger 4-in-1 convertible pramette.

Am I delusional in thinking I can get by with a convertible car seat and a convertible stroller?
