Please help with this shifting paradox

If there are an infinite universes, and shifting is possible, then that means that an infinite number of people are trying to shift to be me or you in this exact reality, and a infinite number of people should also have succeeded at doing so...

I do know that shifting is real, but I have been thinking about this. Now obviously this is not whats happening, my mind isnt getting occupied by consciousness from a infite realities but I am wondering why this is not happening

My only explanation is, the multiverse is not 'real', and the only reality that exists is the one decided by my 4d?
