Friend needs to “ship” her dog 1700 miles away

My friend has a very active 15-20lb puppy that she is giving to my sister. Its just not a good fit personality wise, so my sister is going to be taking him.

The problem is the dog is in central Texas, my sister is in Virginia, and my friend is elderly and cannot travel with the dog. We’ve considered flying my sister out here and letting her fly back with the dog, but thats just not ideal right now. We’ve started discussing the possibility of a service that will take him to Virginia for us, but its a scary thought sending him off without one of us and we’re not taking that lightly.

If anyone has used a service that travels with your pets and wants to share an experience, Id be grateful. He is a very sweet boy and we’re not looking to hand him off to just anyone. Thanks!
