i just finished medical school, now what?
I was 28 when I broke up with my ex and I felt lost in all aspects of my life so i went to medical school and focused all my energy into it. I never went on a date as I felt I wasn’t emotionally available and it would be unfair to anyone. Medicine was my priority for the past 5 years.
I’m now 33, done with med school and working for the government. While my job and career path is already secure, I cant help but feel the loneliness starting to creep in.
My question is…for a gay guy in their 30’s, just starting their career as a doctor, in huge debt from med school…is it unfair to start actively looking for a relationship while I’m still building my career, health and finances? I feel it is, and pretty sure gay men have a certain standard for other gay men in their 30’s?
