I’m in utter disbelief. I felt ChatGPT has gotten bad lately, but this is on another level!
It feels like I’m back in 2023 with the mistakes! I’m SO PISSED OFF. Just check this short chat I had just now. https://chatgpt.com/share/6a92d711-dc08-83ee-a467-c62abaafe466 It started out normally, a simple query about inflation data, and then I simply asked for the trend over the last year. I got back a trend, and then, out of nowhere it just blurts out:
**“**3.4% inflation doesn’t mean prices are 3.4% higher than a year ago—it means they’re rising 3.4% faster than they were a year ago.”
Excuse me?
That’s exactly what 3.4% inflation means! This is some 2023 level mistake, not at all a mistake expected from a frontier model in 2026 for god’s sake!
I’m not sure I can continue using this model anymore.
