The reasons of this is massive misunderstanding on how DLSS 5 actually works and discourse about "artstyles" in gaming.

DLSS 5 is not just another "AI Filter" as many people like to put it. They are actually wrong. When you look deeper on how the tech actually works you'd realize this is neural rendering which is similar (but also different) like Ray Tracing. However, this method uses AI to enhance certain parts of the picture and color correct others.

For anyone wondering how Cloud actually looks like when DLSS 5 is on, here is an [example](https://x.com/Pietreixq/status/2093479758759702917/video/1) from Twitter.

People also mistake this with Generative AI, which it isn't generative or depends a connection to AI Data servers. All this runs on your computer locally. Meaning even if you don't have internet, you lose nothing. Think of this as Ray Tracing 2.0

People also hating on this tech, claiming it will erase all the artistic work of game developers which is not true. Since this is completely optional and not required to be turned on in order to play any game at all, artistic view of a game developer still stays deep in the core. DLSS 5 isn't changing none of the models from the core or base of the game.

Artstyle of the game stays intact if you so desire to turn it off or even tweak it just a little. This is just another option to push out realism and/or realistic contrast.

Of course this being a mod and not actually finished build of the DLSS 5, over-tweaking will cause flickering, loss of colors or really weird facial "enhancements". But to me it is no different than turning your TV's contrast all the way up and then complaining why the scene looks that way.

Give it time, this tech is really good when its used right and indeed enhances graphics and adds more realism if you so desire even in this unfinished state.

And remember, if you are not liking what you see, you can always turn it off.

Hate towards DLSS5 is too forced with fake images pushed by outleds claiming its the real deal.
