Tips for cramped living
I want to preface this that I’m very grateful to be able to have my own house, which felt out of reach for a long time.
My partner and I scraped everything we had to get a super small house about 30min from downtown (in between my downtown job and my partner’s elementary school job). The payment was cheaper than comparable rent so it’s been a good move long term.
However, we have since had 2 kids close together, and it has made our small house feel so cramped. I guess it goes without saying that we don’t have money to remodel any rooms or anything to help with space.
Assuming we try to stay in this house for bit, what are some tips to make the house feel less cramped? I take my oldest outside everyday to do something but I’m talking about when we are in the house. Has anyone ever been able to make a similar situation better? Maybe I can get rid of the kitchen table and just use the kitchen counter with barstools?
