I spent about 19 days finishing the dlc.

SpoilerPhantom Liberty Expansion

I took my time, besides work and other adult bs. Took me about 19 days to finish the whole dlc. Haven’t finished the main story yet, even though my current file already has over 300 hours of playtime lol.

Just wanted to write out my thoughts about it all.

The coolest thing was the Mr. Hands face reveal. Dude looks pretty cool. Enjoyed doing all the gigs for him. Made me feel like the professional merc I am roleplaying as.

I reloaded and did both endings. I have to say that I am pretty certain both Songbird and Reed are assholes. They both lie to V, and use her for their own ends.

Songbird literally keeps from V the fact that the cynosure cure can only be used once. Only reveals this at the very end of her route. What a b. She is a selfish, manipulative character. Siding with her felt very wrong. Very weird to see my V suddenly caring so much for Songbird’s well-being when she A. Barely knew her and B. Lied to V multiple times.

And Reed is just as bad. So blinded by his sense of duty and ideals that he doesn’t see those very ideals are destroying him and everyone around him. Has the balls to blame V for all that went wrong if she sides with him and Songbird dies. There are multiple moments where Reed point blank kills V, during Firestarter if V takes the elevator, Reed kills her. Later if V refuses to put down Songbird outside the spaceship. The fact that I am supposed to side with this dude while he is willing to kill me just because be feels he has to, rubs me the wrong way. He and Alex also execute the smoking hot French girl which is simply inexcusable in my book.

There should have been a route to side with Kurt Hansen. I would have picked that option and probably would have been the best ending for me personally, depending on what would happen of course. Still seems like a missed opportunity to not include such a route.

I regretted siding with either of them.
