Ryzen 5 5500X3D + GIGABYTE B550M AORUS Elite – BIOS and SSD advice
Hi everyone,
I recently bought a Ryzen 5 5500X3D, a GIGABYTE B550M AORUS Elite, and I already have a 512GB SATA SSD that I bought from AliExpress.
I have a few questions:
- Does the GIGABYTE B550M AORUS Elite need a BIOS update to support the Ryzen 5 5500X3D, or should it already be compatible?
Regarding storage, I have a 512GB SATA SSD from AliExpress, but I’m not sure if I should use it as my main drive for Windows/system, or buy a 250GB NVMe SSD from Amazon for around €50 and use the NVMe for Windows.
What would you recommend? Is it worth spending €50 on the 250GB NVMe just for the system, or should I use the 512GB SATA SSD I already have?
Thanks!
