Love for granted

Some men and women place weight on superficial aspects such as beauty, wealth or gestures.

And they take ‘love’ for granted.

Scholar Ibrahim Dewla said:

“Umar (rad) said, “Don’t be neglectful of being loved.”
(Al Bidayah Wal Nihaya)

Meaning, be such that people love you.

Because love is extremely valuable.

Therefore, we should make an effort so that people love us.”

Some men and women will make a genuine ‘effort’ to be loved in a marriage.

And some won’t; they take it for granted.
