Septum piercing

Hii, I’ve been considering getting my septum pierced for a while now. Everyone I know that has one got it done before they started BJJ so they have no issues with theirs in training. I train regularly and I compete. Has anyone gotten it done that trains regularly? Would it be best to wait for an off season to get the piercing? Should I avoid it altogether?
