Prevent itching from trimming my ass

So today my gf told me that she wants to do a rimjob to me and I am very excited. But I have a lot of hair (like a gorilla) in that area and I want to trim it or shave it.

I would love to shave it but I am afraid of the itchiness afterwards. The trim will me safer??? I don't know.

My questions are: shave or trim? ( I prefer shaving but tell which one is better for now)

Also whatever I choose how can I stop the itchiness afterwards?
