While casual battle-boarders love to rank characters based on standard cosmic tiers, Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) at her absolute peak completely breaks the conceptual rules of the Marvel Multiverse. People often try to place her below abstract entities like Eternity, Infinity, or even the Living Tribunal, failing to realize that her power source operates entirely outside their jurisdictional authority.

Here is the deep-dive breakdown of why Peak Wanda scales completely outside Marvel's standard cosmic hierarchy.

1. The Core Flaw of Standard Cosmic Entities

Entities like Eternity, Death, and Infinity are the literal embodiments of the multiverse. They are bound by the structural laws, logic, and physical dimensions of creation.

The Vulnerability: Because they represent order and existence as we know it, they are inherently vulnerable to anything that exists outside of or fundamentally opposes that order.

Wanda’s Advantage: Wanda wields Chaos Magic, which is the primordial, formless state of non-existence that predates the multiverse itself. It is the absolute absence of cosmic law. When Wanda warps reality, she isn't just bending the rules of Eternity; she is rewriting the foundation upon which Eternity rests.

2. House of M: The Multiversal Realignment

Detractors often call House of M a "planetary wave," but Marvel canon has repeatedly corrected this downplay.

The Reality Shift: Wanda didn’t just change the minds of people on Earth; she restructured the reality of the entire Omniverse (explicitly stated in The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe).

Bypassing the Cosmic Hierarchy: During this event, not a single abstract entity—not Eternity, not the Living Tribunal—stepped in to stop her. Why? Because her reality-warping was so complete and absolute that to the universe, the "House of M" timeline became the original and only truth. She reshaped the canvas they exist on, meaning they had no authority to overwrite her changes.

3. Conceptual Dominance Over Chthon

Many argue that Wanda is merely a proxy for Chthon, the Elder God who written the Darkhold. However, in modern continuity (Darkhold Alpha and Scarlet Witch Vol. 3), Wanda did something unprecedented:

She didn't just defeat Chthon; she absorbed him and his entire realm into her own soul.

By absorbing the literal creator of Chaos Magic, Wanda ceased to be a mere channel for external power. She became the absolute, living source of Chaos itself. If Chthon's magic can threaten the cosmic hierarchy, Wanda possessing Chthon's entire essence elevates her above the abstract tier permanently.

CONCLUSION:

Peak Wanda cannot be measured by traditional "who can punch harder" metrics. Whether it is the Life Force or the Chthonic Absorption, she commands the raw, lawless essence of creation and destruction. The cosmic entities govern the house, but Wanda controls the ground the house is built on.
