About Gonzo

For starters, I don't think the Patriots are trading Gonzo. Not do I think this front office would overpay for him.

BUT

The lions really wanted to draft him. Everyone remembers the room seemed disappointed when Witherspoon got poached.

We all know they ended up with Gibbs after the successful trade down, which was exciting.

Just as they were about to go back on the clock, Gonzo got picked and you could hear a pin drop. It was like they all knew they missed on both of their top CBs and planned to walk out of the first round with one of them.

Brad does have a track record of chasing his old draft crushes and regrets. If Gonzo truly is available, I wouldn't be shocked if Brad was in the mix to make it happen.

Maybe it'd be more possible closer to the trade deadline if the Patriots stumble.
