Day 3 - 61 Hours in and getting by

feeling better

Hi All, I posted a couple days ago and figured I do another update.

I’m currently at 61 hours and feeling pretty good all things considered. For reference I was at ~800mg a day for around 6-8 months.

I managed to CT a month long 200mg habit last year which sucked but was no where near as bad as when I tried at 800mg a couple weeks ago. I made the decision to go through Quickmd to get subs and a 5 day supply of clonidine.

At the 17 hour mark I induced with 4mg of subs, and then 2 more 2mg doses over 14 or so hours. So far my taper has been 8mg - 6mg - and today will be 4mg. Tomorrow I’ll go down to 2, then 1, then drop the subs.

I cannot emphasize enough how much the subs have helped me with the horrible physical WD’s. I can actually sit down and browse this subreddit for encouragement without wanting to crawl out of my own skin.

The first night of sleep was rough, the insomnia and restlessness really got to me, but last night I want to say I got 6 hours and today I feel like a new man.

Couple tips for folks, you gotta get out and move your body, I’ve been hitting some local nature trails every morning and night for a couple miles each way and it does wonders in tiring your body out. You probably won’t want to do it but once you actually start walking you’ll get a huge dopamine hit. Listen to music, blast that shit, sing along, it does wonders for you mentally.

In my last quits it was Day 4 onwards where things started to readily get better, so I can wait until tomorrow where I’ll be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Here are the supplements/food I’ve been taking outside of the subs
- 2 .1mg clonidine per day
- Vit C Lipo - mega dosing 5k mg every 4-5 hours
- Imodium - one dose for the first 2 days
- magnesium
- Hydrating with liquid IV and plenty of water
- BANANAS
- Uncrustables - small easy to eat peanut butter sandwiches
- left over spaghetti
- overnight oats with yogurt and granola

Love you guys, reading through all these posts has been helping me get through this.
