Do you remember when call in Radio programs were a thing?

Some radio programs had segments where people could call in to chat. They would say hi to the DJ(s) and then say "First time caller, but long time listener" or similar. If they call often enough, the DJ would know them and they'd have a history.

Sometimes they'd share a story, or interesting things that happened recently. Sometimes they would have a problem and need relationship advice.

Let's pretend that I'm a DJ and you're bored enough on a Saturday night.

Just looking to meet new people.

If we've chatted before, just say "hi" again and happy to reconnect.

The Caller / You:

- say hi

- tell me if you're a first time/repeat caller

- how long have you been listening to the show

- share some details like your ASL at the start

- reason for calling.

The Host / DJ /Me:

- Has been on various formats with questionable success

- likes interacting with people

- questionable sense of humor but generally entertaining

- face made for radio
