Could we get a Fallout game set in New York City? (An explanation of what New York City is currently like in the Fallout universe)
As one of the nation’s most iconic cities, New York City was also a major target for America’s enemies.
During the Great War, New York City was hit by multiple nuclear weapons on October 23, 2077, causing extreme devastation that reportedly even psychologically affected experienced military personnel. In the aftermath of the nuclear apocalypse, survivors considered the city lost and extremely dangerous, with rumors claiming that it was in even worse shape than Boston.
Years later, the Assaultron Adelaide attempted to find Broadway in Manhattan and reported that the Big Apple had become a “big crater,” suggesting that the area had been almost completely destroyed.
However, the current state of New York City remains unknown, as although the Brotherhood of Steel observed abandoned skyscrapers occupied by mutants during their journey along the East Coast, it was never confirmed that these belonged to New York City.
Now I’ll leave the answer up to you: what do you think about New York City as the setting for a future Fallout game?
