Capricorn Ascendants, how has Jupiter’s transit actually played out for you? And should I be reading it from Lagna or Moon?

I’m trying to understand transits better and would genuinely appreciate some perspective from people who know Jyotish better than I do. Please consider me a student here. I’m not trying to make a prediction, just trying to understand where my own logic might be wrong.

I’m a Capricorn Ascendant with Aquarius Moon, so I’ve been looking at Jupiter’s transits both from Lagna and from Moon sign.

Here’s what confused me.

When Jupiter was in Taurus (May 2024 to May 2025), it was the 5th house from my Aquarius Moon. So theoretically, I would have expected some activation around 5th house themes such as dating, romance, creativity, etc.

But honestly, my dating/romantic life during that period was almost completely dry. Very little happened.

Interestingly, when I look at the same Jupiter transit from my Capricorn Ascendant, Taurus is also my 5th house, so in this particular case both Lagna and Moon point to the 5th house. 😅

And yet the actual experience still doesn’t seem to match what I would expect from a textbook interpretation.

This is where I’m wondering if I’m oversimplifying things.

Should Jupiter’s transit be judged primarily from Lagna, from Moon sign, or should both be considered differently?

I’ve come across the idea that Lagna based transits are more about external or event level manifestation, while Moon based transits describe more of the mental and emotional experience. Is that a reasonable way to understand it, or is that too simplistic?

Also, how much weight should we give to the Mahadasha/Antardasha and the natal condition of the relevant houses and their lords before expecting a transit to actually manifest something?

In my case, I’m running Saturn Mahadasha, and I’ve also been going through Sade Sati since my Moon is in Aquarius. So I’m wondering whether that larger Saturn context can significantly suppress or modify what Jupiter’s transit might otherwise indicate.

I’d especially love to hear from Capricorn Ascendants:

• How was Jupiter in Taurus for you?
• Did you actually see 5th house themes activate, such as dating, romance, children, creativity, education, etc.?
• Did Jupiter in Gemini feel noticeably different for you?
• How do you personally decide whether to read a transit from Lagna, Moon, or both?

I’m genuinely trying to understand the logic behind this rather than looking for a prediction for myself.
