Family or love how do you choose?

We both are from Kerala but belong to two different religions, I ended things because my family has started talking about marriage proposals and I can’t keep putting her at risk.She’s the only person who’s ever felt like home. She keeps saying she’d rather stay secret with me than lose what we have, but I can’t stop feeling like I’m the one who’ll eventually get her caught.Half of me wants to go back tomorrow. The other half keeps saying I should let her go before everything blows up. Right now the thought of anyone else doesn’t even register
