Used mahindra worth it

Is it worth it to buy a 3 or 4 year used Mahindra thar or scorpio(around 50k kilometres)if one wants decent resale value and expects above average reliability?Can the diesel mhawk engines if maintained well last 1.5L to 2L kms?What about the 1.5L diesel and 2L petrol

I get that the electronics wont be too reliable but in a rural area with frequently waterlogged roads i need the durability and ground clearance. Running is 1200km per month though mostly rural empty roads

If anyone has any idea of insurance and maintenance costs please do tell.
