Newbie needing some assistance on picking out a bike
40s male living in Korea...started biking/cycling 3 months ago whatever you call it to try and lose some weight. Before that I haven't rode a bike for over 25 years I think. I ride a free city bike. In 3 months I went from 253lbs to 209lbs. First 2 weeks I starting biking 10kms per day, then moved to 30kms (2 separate rides), then 50-60kms (3 separate rides). The bike I am on is pretty shit since its a city bike and I see all the cyclists blowing right by me, even kids. I clocked myself going roughly 22km/hr or 14mph on the bike path at 85% effort. But I also sometimes hit the city so I am looking for my first bike in a long while that would be good for bike paths + city biking (occasionally hopping curbs if need be). Can anyone tell me what I should look for. I don't mind used also. Can I find anything decent for $1000-$2000. There is a Trek nearby where I live.
Lastly... I switched from Android to Iphone last week. On my Android I was using Zeopoxa Cycling app. I loved it since it was simple and easy UI. Unfortunately this app isn't available on Apple. Can someone suggest a very simple cycling app like Zeopoxa thats available on Apple phones?
