You and your partner have been trying to have a baby for a while now to no avail. It was frustrating needing to go to all these appointments and plan everything out just to see the eventual negative pregnancy test. It had gotten to the point where you both thought that maybe it wouldn’t be possible without a surrogate, IVF, or adopting. You really wanted to have it all done naturally but it clearly wasn’t working.

But now, your mom was offering a solution. “I’ve carried two babies to term remember? I can do it. I’d be happy to!” It was true. She had you and your sibling and while it was a while ago, they were both healthy pregnancies. Maybe this could work. Your mind drifted to thoughts the process and logistics of it all. It would be easier to do it without an agency. You still had the thought of doing it all naturally… but would that be possible now? Hello! This is just a fun idea I have been wanting to play out recently. A family member offering to be a surrogate for someone. Obviously the ad is focused on the mom/adult son or daughter pairing but I’d be open to other roles as well.

A big part of this is the taboo nature of wanting to do it naturally. Maybe mom is on board even if it feels a bit bad.
