Advice about ex bf and cats

Hi my ex 28m and I 31f broke up several months ago and he took our cats and blocked me everywhere. The breakup was mutual at first but I suffer from bpd/anxiety/depression and took it hard after he started dating again. For context we were only dating a lil over a year but moved in after several months (dumb ik). He started seeing another girl 3 days after we broke up and after asking him multiple times to wait until he moved out to start dating he didnt repect it and I kicked him out of the apartment. A week later he came and took all 3 cats; one was his, one was mine and one we got together. My cat bonded with the one we got together and I still cared about my ex at this point and was ok with him taking them as long as was able to see them every once in awhile. He then wanted to go no contact, but i was freaking out over not being able to see the cats and asked if I could have mine back and we could just part ways. He called me selfish for wanting to seperate them and blocked me and my friends on everything. Its been months and I think about them everyday, my cats turning 14 in October and im scared about anything happening to him and me not knowing. Part of me wants to just go over his place and ask to see them, but I dont know how he'll react or if its a bad idea. I have 0 desire to have any type of relationship with him I just want to see my animals.
