**1. Resident Evil (2002)**
A lot of people seem to skip the 2002 remake because it retains tank controls, but I think they’re missing out. *REmake* is an absolute masterpiece. It doesn’t just give the original a visual overhaul; it expands on it with new enemies, puzzles, areas, and story elements that make it feel like more than just a remake.

**2. System Shock (2023)**
The original *System Shock* was groundbreaking for its time, but it hasn’t aged particularly well. The 2023 remake strikes a great balance between preserving what made the original special while modernising the controls, visuals, interface, and overall experience.

**3. Dead Space (2023)**
I’ll admit, I initially thought *The Callisto Protocol* might end up being the better spiritual successor to *Dead Space*. I was very, very wrong. The remake takes an already fantastic survival horror game and improves upon it in so many ways. And, for once, EA actually knocked it out of the park!

**4. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (2025)**
I wasn’t entirely sure whether Konami would be able to do this one justice, considering how beloved the original *Snake Eater* is. Thankfully, they absolutely nailed it. It turned out to be pretty much everything I hoped for—and then some.

There are a lot of great game remakes out there, but these four really stand out to me. What remakes would you add to the discussion?
