AITA for not letting my boyfriend bring his Xbox to our new apartment?

My boyfriend and I are thinking of moving in together, and we got into a debate. We both have Xboxes (his is newer, the Series S), and I offered for us to sell both of our Xboxes and get something else instead.
The problem with his Xbox is that it was gifted to him by his first girlfriend , and in my mind, the only reason he doesn’t want to get rid of it is because it was a gift from her. He barely ever uses his Xbox, and we both only play on our PCs, so we don’t even need a console.
In his defense, he said that he doesn’t want to get rid of a still usable item and that it is newer than mine and also that it is rude to sell gifts.
AITA for not wanting any traces of his past relationships in our fresh, new home?
