Some people may not even understand or care about this ("dude, Im just here for the feet stuff.."), but its very important to me, and it seems to be important for Sleepy as well. ***Do you also have those "social-sado-maso" fetishes?*** Do you also get horny just by thinking about this things?

Since Sleepy's stories are so detailed with characterization, its Dom/sub domination and abuse has layers: Our beloved dominatrixes are ***rich and powerful***, dominating and restraining their subs not only with rope, but with (especially with) social hierarchies, patronizing ideological superiority, and lots and lots of money 💵!!

***Dynasty of Evil***

The Le Fey family are the classical Dynasty of the 1%, very present in our real world: The families that for generations are always in control of their communities; With monopoly and nepotism, they are "born better than the rest of us". Indifferent if Lady Mircalla and Lady Carmilla are the same person, or just descendants, their reign is uncontested for centuries! (except from the revolt of peasants in the old world, that they had already exploited for years);

"Master Templeton" story is the perfect example of a lowly employee giving his sweat and blood to strengthen and help his rich employer, only to get tortured and killed as a reward. Condemned to the dungeon that he himself build, while his daughter and descendants are also enslaved and abused by it. Lady Mircalla prodigy and the Le Fey mansion forever influenced and controlled Crystal Heights, and now days, the same story repeats again with Johnson: The low blue color worker, exploited by his superiors, having his life and ideals destroyed, only to fulfill his selfish boss frivolous desires.

The "Coven" (book club) is similar to "freemansory", "hellfire club", "templars", "court of owls" or any other "evil secret societies", where the elite influences the rest of the world from the shadows, committing crimes and sexual abuses, without having to fear any legal reprimands.

***Our Goddess Evelina***

Evelina, as the "main villain" of the story, and Sleepy's "main character", possess privileges that go beyond plot armor. Her Untie Carmilla is technically a Queen (or "Archdevil"), always surrounded with servants, guards, slaves, and an intimidating traditional aura of authority. And even with her many rebellious irresponsibilities, Evie is clearly her unties legacy, groomed and destined to become the next all powerful Matriarch. She lived and behaved her entire life as a spoiled privileged princess, always being rewarded for her evil deeds, and with almost everybody else worshiping her.

But its not only monetary advantage; With it, the Le Fey women are allowed to possess academic/intellectual advantages as well. Evie is a "nepo-trust-fund-baby", but she is not just that. She is a genius at manipulation and chemistry; She had to put a lot of effort and hard work to create her mind controlling "potions", and to maintain her elaborate schemes against Nancy, her teacher position, and her gorgeous body and beauty.

At the end, Evie wins her battles against Black Fox and White Snake, through using her ***manipulation and intelligence***. Her smarts and deceit is what makes her the dangerous and attractive "evil dominatrix" that she is. But remember... she was able to have this intellectual strength, because of her privileged rich education.

Her many sits of authority at College (which is very uncommon for someone at her early age, of only 31), shows how the Le Fey still hold a nepotist grip over the town; And also allows her a perfect position to prey on her young victims. The power disparity, and the sexual harassment of professors towards their students, is classical; And a big turn-on for the "sexy-teacher-fantasy" that Professor Le Fey represents.

***Violet and Corporate America***

While the Le Fey Family are a more fantastical representation of "social evil", Violet is a more realistic one: The successful, immoral and ruthless business women. Her extremely expensive and luxurious two-floors apartment, is immaculate and gorgeous; From the gigantic glass windows, she sees the jungle of sky-scrapers, starring at the rest of the city from up above. Living above and better than most of us, her home its the modern symbol of success and power.

As shown in the Footboy comics, Vi used the effort and work of others to climb and maintain her position at the company ladder; A not unusual, but actually very common (and sometimes unavoidable) practice in the morally dubious, real world of corporate life. Without mentioning the corruption and frauds that she commits, hurting the lives of millions of others, just to make herself richer. We know nothing about her life from before "Back to Rehab", but indifferent if she grew up as a nepo-baby like Evie, or had more humble beginnings like Trixie, is clear today that she is now part of a corrupt elite.

Vi sadistically treats her "subordinates" as tools and objects of her pleasure: All Johnson plot-points reflect real world relationships between exploited employees and their bosses; In "downsizing", he repeats the bullshit that many corporate rats are already brain-washed by. Even in "Country Girls" nickname, is established a prejudice and disparity between the humble country-side slave, and her rich and sophisticated owner.

And most of all, in the "barista" story, every page reflects those social issues: Kayla, the struggling artist and service worker with a low paying job, kneeling and cleaning the feet and expensive shoes of the rich cruel women. Vi and Evie easily destroy Kayla's life, giving her no alternative, but to become completely dependent of Vi. The innocent girl feels guilty and ashamed multiple times, unaware of the many abuses that the two dominatrixes have done upon her, only making her more submissive and obedient. In other words... there are reasons why this small story is a fan favorite 😈😈 Its such a turn on!

***Nancy, the "Modern Justine"***

Lets also mention when the opposite happens: When the perfect and pure Nancy, "white middle-class princess", is "defiled" by the "ruffian-thugs of the lower classes". There is sado-maso pleasure, when enjoying the black women from "jailhouse bunny" or the Breton henchwomen from "in trouble again", having their way with the privileged and sheltered girl detective.

To those that dont know, Sleepy comics make many direct references to the classical book "***Justine***", by the infamous Marquis de Sade. Its about a young women who becomes suddenly impoverished, and through many misadventures, she is constantly manipulated, enslaved, and sexually abused by multiple people, from different social classes. Justine is a very pious and virtuous girl, but this insistence on being morally righteous, is exactly why she is constantly taken advantage off. Does this summary reminds you of someone? Justine is a clear inspiration for our Nancy, even more than Nancy Drew; And Sade's book, through eroticism, makes many relevant poisonous deconstructions (criticisms) about morality and social issues; Similar to what Im enumerating in this post, about Sleepy work.

***The Tragedy of the Fox***

And there is also the entire Trixie arc: The orphan who has to fight for herself; The young drug dealer and aspiring thief, who has to stand alone against multiple rich and powerful people. She specially enjoys stealing, dominating and humiliating privileged people, and is by them defeated, when she gets herself into too much trouble. To some fans, she represented the underdog fighting against the powerful "oppressors", and they were surprised when she lost; Even if it should be expected that the sexy dominatrixes would win here.

Her "get-rich-quick" scheme, trying to blackmail Prof.Le Fey, may seem ridiculous to us, since we know the results. But in her situation, it did made a lot of sense: She is very resourceful and intelligent herself, she is right for fighting for a better life, and Vi and Evie seemed like two incompetent buffoons in her point of view. In this universe, all the characters are morally questionable, so her defeat has nothing to do with "she deserved because she was a bad person", and more to do with: "she lost because she was not evil and privileged enough!"

In summary: On their respective jobs, both "Prof.Evie" and "Boss Vi", manipulate, gaslight, patronize, brainwash, lie, belittle, humiliate, dehumanize, and abuse (emotionally and physically) their students and subordinates; Hurting the unaware innocents that they were suppose to guide and protect.

About philosophies, Eve, Vi, and Carmilla are machiavellics, pragmatics, objectivists, meritocratics, and probably right-wings. They believe and practice the ideology that the strong and privileged deserves to win over the weak and oppressed. In their views, their victims are prey, and if they are suffering, is their own damn fault: After all, they were not powerful and intelligent enough to "win the game".

Johnson and Leopold are blue color workers who always put their sincere hard work into their obligations, show to be smart and resourceful, and feel mercy and care for other people; But they always act submissively, easily being slaved and manipulated (physically and ideologically) by their bosses. Trixie had many opportunities to escape, but her care/love for Nancy was one of the main reasons why she was caught.

The main "battle" of the series, between the naive and idealistic Nancy, vs the wise and evil Evie, represents this ideology as well: Selfish evil always wins over good intentions.... And this is a turn-on for sado-masochists like us and Sleepy; We are turned on by the "heroes" suffering and the "villains" winning.

The many social/economic dynamics on Sleepy comics; And do they turn you on, as much as they do me??
